Hi,
We are using scotty library for our snmp work. We are in a process
of upgrading our libraries to SNMPv3 support. At present we have
scotty-3-new library which is SNMPv3 client at per documentation.
But, I hope we need engineID for any query to SNMPv3 agent. The
other client UCD gets the engineID and sends the user request with
needed user information. It is not happening with scotty. It
straight away forms the PDU with engineID as null and sends it to
agent which is rejected by agent because of engineID.
Is there anything we need to enable in scotty to get the engineID
before sending the request?
Is there a way to the engineID of the agent using any scotty
command?
Thanks,
- -Hari
