It would be nice to allow attributes such as name etc on links too.
That way an attribute such as nospan would be useful when using select
neighbors to prevent the selection algorithm from finding neighbors on
the other side of the link.
It is a real pain to have to keep clobbering links just to restrict
the neighbor stuff. Items such as terminals/modems shouldn't be
considered "neighbors" since neighbors to me means IP neighbors.
Maybe we need a "mark as neighbor if the node has attribute X"
selection from the select menu.
