I'm playing with the snmp commands in scotty 2.1.7 on a Solaris machine.
Here is the error:
% snmp session
snmp0
% snmp0 get sysName.0
{1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 {OCTET STRING} cascade.cs.ubc.ca}
% snmp0 agent
==> bad option "agent": should be configure, cget, wait, destroy,
get, getnext, getbulk, set, trap, inform, walk, scalars,
table instance, or bind
The command "snmp0 agent" is documented in Section 7 "Smart
Agents written in Tcl" in the paper by J. Schonwalder and
H. Langendorfer at
ftp://ftp.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/pub/local/papers/tcltk-95.ps.gz
as mentioned in the FAQ.
Why isn't it working?
And by the way, where can I find a command reference manual for scotty?
For example, how to specify a host (where the SNMP agent is) in the command
snmp0 get sysName.0
???
Thank you.
