gary> Does the binary version of Scotty for Win32 support running
gary> Scotty as an agent in the same way as the UNIX version ?
No. We are working on a transition to use Tcl_Obj's everywhere and
porting the agent will not happen before this conversion is complete.
gary> I ask because the FAQ indicates that the Tcl version of windows
gary> upon which Scotty Win32 is based does not support file-events.
We don't have a problem with file events anymore. We know how to work
around that. The reason why 3.0.0 is still in development is basically
that the transition to use Tcl_Objs is not yet complete. This also
affects the SNMPv3 code. But we making progress now and a new snapshot
is coming soon.
