I can compile / link everything else I try except the Scotty distribution
(any version). This fails with a bunch of "undefined symbol" errors the
first time the linker (ld) is called. I have not been able to figure out
what is going wrong, and do not seem to be able to beat this one. 8-(
I have read and tried all the fixes in the porting.notes file without
success. (I'm no expert in compiler / linker use).
I am using gcc 2.7.2.2 and have successfully compiled tcl, tk, perl and a
bunch of other stuff without problems, but the scotty distribution just
refuses to work !
Is anybody able to offer help / advice / suggestions as to whats going
wrong ?
Any thoughts or suggestions very gratefully received.
