Silly question:
Why have a seperate scotty binary at all? Why not just run
tclsh/wish and "package require Tnm". I seem to recall something
about how the processing loop in Tcl is not optimal for SNMP,
but I don't recall the details? How does this affect you when
you use wish+Tnm?
