Hmm, I have never had problems compiling Scotty on FreeBSD. Usually a
./configure --disable-multicast
make
make install
make sinstall
completes without any warnings or errors. The only difference I see is that
you are using 'gmake', where I am using the standared BSD 'make'. I have
never had problems with Scotty 2.x on FreeBSD -STABLE or -RELEASE. It goes
like a rocket!
