Marcus is a Research Staff Member at the IBM Research Lab in Zurich, Switzerland working in the area of Blockchain Security and Applications. His research is focused on secure distributed systems using confidental computing.
He joined IBM Research in 2013 as a student intern and became predoctoral researcher in 2014. In 2020 Marcus completed his PhD in Computer Science from TU Braunschweig, in Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Rüdiger Kapitza and Prof. Christian Cachin.
