As part of the Jasmin project an implementation of the DISMAN-SCHEDULE-MIB (RFC 2591) has been developed.
The Schedule-MIB allows to schedule simple SNMP Set operations on the local SNMP agent on a regular basis or at specific future points in time. In conjunction with the Script-MIB this allows to launch short-time scripts at regular intervals or to start and terminate scripts on scheduled points in time. Besides this application in combination with a Script-MIB agent, the Schedule-MIB is useful in many other situations, as well.
Similar to the Script-MIB implementation the Schedule-MIB runs as a dynamically loadable MIB module for the NET-SNMP 4.2 agent. The implementation is freely available as a separate source code package.
